I've got my new Imac and I love it! It came with one gig of memory, and if I understand the configuration correctly there are two slots, and right now there is one being occupied with a 1 gig module. I'd like to buy a 2 gig module for the empty slot.

Can any of you recommend a good place to buy third party memory that you have used in the past? Thanks!

Other World Computing, Kingston, and Crucial are the ones that i hear recommended most.

Welcome to MacRumors :)

There is a Guide (http://guides.macrumors.com/Buying_RAM) on memory, and doing a search on MR is a good first step to getting your questions answered, because chances are, it has been asked and answered already. There are, for example, three or four RAM recommendation threads open today...
