Video editing question (trying to burn a vcd)

What program (s) will let me cut out parts of an mpg file? I burn mpg's as vcd's and some of them are too big.

you could open it in quicktime pro, cut it up, and then do a save as, or export, and have a self contained, edited movie...

qt pro is 30 bucks, well worth it
