Which FCP works on MBP?

Is there any version of FCP pro that doesn't work on a MBP? We tried 4.5 and for some reason it didn't load properly. Do I need to get a later version of this?

FCP is based on the PowerPC Architecture and thus runs through Rosetta, it shouldn't fail to work properly, but will be horrendously slow compared to a universal version like FCP 5 and higher.

final cut pro 6 didnt work(if i remember correctly) FCS 2 works fine

FCP 5.1 and up work with Intel.
