So, just where are my shared folders in VMware?

Where abouts are the My Documents (for example) folders on my iMac? Obviously I can access them whilst running VMware but I can't find them through Finder?


Surely I can't see the wood for the trees - they must be here somewhere

Your virtual disk is in a .vmdk file. I don't know of any way to access the files inside without running Fusion and starting the virtual machine.
 
Your Windows files are stored inside a VMware disk file (the .vmdk file mentioned above), and accessing them isn't as simple as just browsing through the Finder for them. The easiest way to access them would be to boot up your virtual OS and drag/drop the files from your virtual OS to the Finder.
 
You can setup Shared Folders in VMware that act sort of like how you want it to work. Go to your VM preferences and look under "Shared Folders" to set it up.
