Do I have to unmount the drive on Airport Extreme before turning it off?

Do I have to unmount the USB drive on my Airport Extreme before I turn it off?
I fear to lose data...

How are you doing that when you want to turn off the disk and / or Router?

Yeah, it'd be a good idea to unmount it. Why are you wanting to turn the router off though? :)

How are you doing that when you want to turn off the disk and / or Router?If you double-click on the AEBSn in the AP Utility, then click on "Disks", you can click on "Disconnect All Users" before you shut down the disk.
