View Full Version : how do you watch VCD or .dat format with mac?

I just try to watch a VCD or a .dat format video with my powerbook. no application can watch it... which application should I use? DVD player should work but does not support the file format..

VLC should be able to do it.

Make sure you select 'Open Disc' if you want to play a VCD.

Like Arn said, you'll have to use VLC. But I'd also recommend going to Apple's feedback page and letting them know that you want VCD support. I did this just last night, but the more people the better.
