another question can i put more then one cd drive in my quicksilver? or am i limited to one
Quicksilver's only have 1 5.25 sized drive. So you are limited to 1 CD-Rom

Looks like you can get it to work, but you have to do some patching.

the second bay is for a zip drive right what if i modded it so that it could take the second cd drive would that also work

thx but the links there are dead so there is no instructions ill try to find them on the web somewhere or if my local mac dealer would so happly do it for me

http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ has some good info on how to do that, but it's not recommended. You can either get a faster combo drive (like the new Plextor with 4x DVD-R and 40x CD-R/W) or get an external FW drive. You can find external cases and CD-R/Ws for pretty cheap. Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/) is good for stuff like that.
