I've got a question about ran. I have a power Mac 6500/225, I want to run yellow dog linux on it and use it as a file server at my house. I was curious if the 128 mega byte limit is just software like in the powerbook g3s or is it a hardware limitation, and it it is just software where can i find menory larger the 64 megs for that computer. Thanx for any input.

I believe that the RAM limitations on that era of machine was actually hardware based as RAM was damn expensive back then and nothing really had any use for more than 128MB- warranting the exclusion of any sort of technology to increase RAM capacity. There is probably some clever way to hack it, but as far as Im sure the limit is hardware based.
