If I would buy the 24" 2.4 iMac, it comes with a 1gb ram chip. Now i'm no memory expert, but can I buy a 2gb ram chip for the 2nd slot in the iMac (for a total of 3gb). Or do both ram chips need to be the same? :confused::confused::confused:

Yes you can. In fact I will be doing the same thing to my iMac when I get it in October.

Where is a good spot to pick up a 2gb ram chip, because I didn't see them listed over on crucial's page for the new iMac. :apple:
