This is what I want in panther more than anything else. I would be happy if this came 2 years down the road, but this needs to happen. (straight from my feedback post)

After using OS X for so long, I'm a bit spoiled on ease of use. ESPECIALLY, on updating the system. So, I have one suggestion that would save time for about 90% of design professionals who use large, expensive software packages. There needs to be some sort of Applications Update right alongside Software Update. If there were a way to get companies to offer the ability to remotely update software instead of going through their website. This is a hassle now. You have to go the site, sign up, find your update, download and update. It would be okay to simply sign-up and then place it in your "Application Update" Folder.

I don't know if this can be done, but I assume this would be pretty easy. If you can imagine the time spent in an office updating each computer, you would not hesitate to do this. To get the most out of OSX you need the most recent update, so this would simply make OSX easier to use as well as more enticing. Thanks.

Post the suggestion here:

That's the only place Apple reads. If enough people want it, it will get added.

Yeah, I have a genuinely new idea, and come to find out it is really old. However, I just went through the trouble of signing up and download updates for studio mx. Holy crap, I would think other designers would be asking for this stuff everyday. Not to mention single programs, but these suites that have 5 programs and you have to update individually. This seems so easy to do too.
