I've seen suggestions in the past but couldn't find the thread I was looking for. Which RAM upgrades do you suggest for a MBP?

Oh, and since the MBP comes with PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 memory....does 5400 work as well?

...and they let you trade in your stock memory for a rebate.

Still overpriced. $269 - $50 for your RAM = $219. You can pick up 4GB from NewEgg for $200 and then turn around and sell your 2GB elsewhere for probably more than $50.

DDR2-667 is 5336 MB/s, so the terms "PC2-5300" and "PC2-5400" are both approximate and are used interchangeably.

As far as "best" goes I still prefer a seller who recognizes what a Mac is and is prepared to support their products with a compatibility guarantee, no restocking charges, and no shipping charges either way on any DOAs. US$238 at Data Memory Systems 800-662-7466 (the webserver is down at the moment)

Prices are on the way up on DDR2 SODIMMs, don't wait too long.
