Preview > "Soft Proof"

When you print on a printer that is a hard proof. That output lets see you the colors the printer will produce. A soft proof is displaying on a monitor but as the colors would be on the printer.
 
Sorry, it's when you go Print..., and click the Preview button and it opens it up in Preview.
