How do I wipe a HDD of a home folder?

Hi there, I'm going to sell my girlfriends iBook G4 for her and I first would like to wipe the HDD of her things but leave the apps. Basically make it like new again. Is this what I'd use the original discs which came with it for? Thanks for your help, Tom
 
Yes, pop in the original OS X disc that came with it. Reboot holding down the C key and do a clean install.
