Will OS8/9 Docs/bookmarks open on new computer?

Hi. I have a new macbook due to arrive and this is my first new mac computer
in over 10 years.
I've amassed of heck of alot of simpletext files, PDF's,word files and bookmarks.

Will I be able to open all, or any of this stuff, in any of whatever all these new Apple applications that come with the new computer?

As far as the bookmarks go, I'm hoping that I can transfer that single bookmark file that resides in the old browsers folder (or in prefs) that contains all the bookmarks rather than individually I hope.

No idea on the bookmarks but most if not all of the files you would want to transfer can be opened in OS X, no problems....
