Hello, just switched and buying some extra parts for my nice big Mac Pro - can anybody advise if this will work in my Mac Pro and whether I need to buy any cables to blug her in? I feel a bit stupid asking but the Specification says PC.

Also Memory - it says here not to Mix EEC which I have no idea what that means - I will be keeping my existing 1gb that came with the Mac Pro

If it is a SATA hard drive then you should be fine using it in a Mac Pro. And as long as crucial says that the RAM works in the Mac Pro you should also be fine using that.

Not sure what that means - is a SATA different from an ATA?

SATA has a different connector than PATA or SCSI, you need to make sure that the hard drive uses the SATA connector otherwise it will not work in the Mac Pro.

ECC is Error Correcting Code memory which shouldn't be mixed with non-ECC memory. Check out dealram.com for great prices and a chart which will steer you towards the right type of ram for your machine.
