Viewing animated GIFs?

A friend sent me an animated GIF in my gmail, but I can only see the first frame in my iPhone. 😕 Is there no way to view them?

The only way to view animated .gifs right now is in Safari. host it on a site like photobucket.com and then send the link via email. When you tap the link in your email, Safari will load and the animation will play.

can you hack/mod your iphone icons as animated gifs?

...imagines 3-d icon of a 1950's rotary phone spinning as his phone icons 🙂

Save the gif to your camera roll, then go to send it via email. One it starts composing the email, and inserts the gif it will start to play!
