Installing xp problem

I have installed boot camp 1.4 with little effort and partitioned my hard drive, but when I try to install xp by inserting my disc and pressing "start installation", it takes me to a black screen with the cursor flashing in the upper left corner. I can hear the disk trying to begin but after a few minutes of trying it just stops. Has anyone heard of this problem? And yes, it is a legit version of xp & the disk appears to work on another computer.

I too am having the same problem. I get the black screen (of death) with the cursor in the left corner when I try installing XP. I have tried repeatedly to install it but I get the same thing. HELP!!!!:confused:
