Any interest in a EyeTV 500 with original packaging and EyeTV 2 software. Paid $321 (plus $50 for the software) back in 2005, I would like $170 shipped, based on the HD Home Run/EyeTV 250 price point of $199 plus shipping and tax. I'll email pictures if anyone is interested.

Would you sell just the 500 (not the software)?

The new 250 Plus can be had (http://www.academicsuperstore.com/market/marketdisp.html?PartNo=837027&qk_srch=eyetv) for $175, so I wouldn't do $170, but others might since the 500 has its own benefits (i.e. FW powered).

The 250 can't do HD which is a major advantage for the 500. As for the software, I'm really just throwing it in there, as I will have no use for it. The 500 comes with the first edition of the EyeTV software which honestly is not nearly as good as EyeTV 2.

PM me a offer.

Is it true this doesn't tune regular cable, only OTA?

It doesn't tune to analog cable, it works with unencrypted digital cable (though I don't know which providers do unencrypted).
