When at school, I use it in the dorm room and sometimes in the library or computer lab if I have a class in there, but if I'm at home, it's on the coffee table in my bedroom.

my office/studio/whatever is in the basement. it's nice sometimes, because it's cool down here (temperature wise)... but it sucks sometimes, because it's so dang cold down here sometimes (temperature wise ;) )
it's also good and bad to be "away" from the family, or company or whatever... easier to concentrate, but feel detached from the rest of the house..

At school, my computer is obviously in my dorm, so that's considered my bedroom.
Ditto when I'm at home from school, but unfortunately I can't vote twice ;)

I have an open floor plan, and the home office and the living room share space, so I put living room, because I like my recliner.

I don't like being shut away in a bedroom. Out in the family room I am next to the kitchen and can watch TV while on the computer if my brain isn't needed full time on the computer.
I use a 15" PowerBook G4 with 23"" Cinema screen and a 12" Powerbook to do additional batch processing in PhotoShop and CD burning. Just ordered a G5 with dual 2GHz processors today.

Well, I do most of my computing while sitting in bed, at least when I'm at home. It's just more comfortable, and, as I don't currently have wireless, it is actually most convenient to the phone line.
Now, most of my computing time is spent at my desk in my office or in my lab. But that's not in my house, so it doesn't count.
I do see, however, that I am not in a minority using my computer in my bedroom. I wonder how many of those are people who have a non-'Book machine that happens to be located in their bedrooms...

I'd bet the MAJORITY of people are non-Book... just cuz your in the bedroom doesn't mean your in BED.. my desk is at the end of my bed.. and underneath is my tower..

hmm the freedom of the laptop is enticing--especially since my campus has had wireless for a few years already, but i'm still using my tower (that stays in the dorm room).

One option would be nice: Anywhere. I use my laptop no more in one place than another, usually. I'm outside, in my bedroom, in the bathroom listing to tunes, in the kitchen, in the living room, in the dining room, and even in my car. Yeah, it is nice to have wireless DSL ;-) . Now, if I could only get a way to plug my laptop into my car's sound system and get a car adapter for it, I'd be set.

Bedroom- Because it's in my bedroom. Because I'm the tech guy... My mom doesn't even care to see the computer, much less hear it (it's as loud as.... something that's quite loud) Etc Etc Etc

Everywhere and anywhere. Thats the beauty of my laptop! But mainly I just stick close to the couch and be a lazyass... Its quite possibly the sweetest deal ever!

All over the place. Wireless access is so damn cool! But most of the time I'm at the desk in the living room/dining area since that's where the power adapter, keyboard, mouse, spare monitor, etc are. The one thing I don't have to worry about is the printer. Perhaps the only thing cooler than wireless internet is wireless usb printing from the bathr.... I mean couch!

My G4 and G3 are here in my office. The iBook usually gets used in bed when I'm too lazy to get up and walk to the office.

The 'other' category must be to cover the crawl space, garage, pantry, closets, and furnace room...
Actually, I know a guy who has his iMac set up in the closet, but he'd be technically sitting in the bedroom while using it.
(Maybe I should tell him to rotate it 90 degrees and shut the closet door behind him).

My iMac is in a home office. If I had a laptop with airport, it would probably be in my bedroom.

At the moment it's a small room ajoined with my bedroom. I call it an office/studio BUT if a woman were to walk into it they would say, "THIS WOULD BE A GREAT WALK-IN CLOSET!" ...........but for now let's just say it's my office.<grin>

It still breaks my heart to think of anyone using a beautiful PowerBook in the bathroom or stuffing it in the basement or attic...give it a little respect! Geez! I can see a Dell next to the crapper...but an Apple? The humanity!

oh yeah, and my mac is in my bedroom. actually under my bed! (i have a loft bed) most of my things are relics from my dorm days, when i needed to squeeeeeeze into a really small space, and now my loft bed helps me get a whole lot of junk into a normal sized bedroom. :)

currently i'm in my bedroom. when i move to my apartment in september it will probably be in the living room with my nerdy room mates' computers--we're gonna nerd it up...
...and one day i would like a studio/office where i can spend my days in a dimly lit room with giant LCDs surrounding me and one helluva sound system to entertain me while i work.

Ooo, loft beds are cool! It's amazing how much room you can have in a dorm room with 3 roommates when you have loft beds in there. I never thought to put one in my bedroom, but if I didn't have a PowerBook and had a desktop, that would be pretty cool to have a little computer/office space under the loft.

me, i use mine mostly in my room, but also having airport and a powerbook, i find myself using it in the bathroom, the den, the living room, the kitchen, and various business establishments in the city that provide free wireless internet access...
in my room, i sit cross-legged on my bed with it, usually. my bed doesn't have a headboard, and i have my stereo at the head of the bed, not something i want to lean on...

We've got a 100 year old house with a finished attic, so this isn't so far fetched to me.

I had to show my mother the poll to prove my insanity of 'bedroom office-ness' wasn't exclusive. My whole corner of my bedroom is set up like an office.
(left to right: dresser with Television and DTS on top - sub woofer - 7200/90 - Celeron 533 linux boxin corner crunching numbers - eMac on the main desk and my Queen size bed sits comfortably along the other wall completing a 'u' shape)

We have a Earthlink DSL wireless. So my wife uses her iBook in our MBR. Most times on her desk, but occassionally on the bed if prefers to relax!
