Ok, Im following this excellent tutorial:

http://www.hacktheiphone.com/iphone_install_sftp_client_mac.html

and Ive done it successfully once before, but since the 1.0.2 update, obviously I have to do it again.

Im on step 13:

In the Terminal type: ssh -l root (YOUR IP) Enter your password when prompted and press enter. Type: cd /usr/libexec (etc...)

but everytime I press "spacebar" inbetween "cd" and "/usr/libexec" terminal disconnects from the iphone IP!

Am I doing something really stupid and wrong? I cant figure out why spacebar after cd makes it disconnect.

*edit - As it turns out, its not the space that makes it disconnect - its entering a third character. I can enter two characters, but a third character kicks me off...

Don't install SFTP this way. Please follow the instructions in this post:

If you can, sync your phone with iTunes, restore, and apply the hacks with this program. It is the cleanest way to jailbreak, cleanest way to install apps, and the easiest too ...
