I've been wanting one since the day they were released. This was the one of the best computers apple ever released. I've done some searching of the web and ebay and I'm looking for a little more help. Anyone know a good place to buy a cube from? Not ebay. I'd like to buy it from somewhere else if possible. If not then ebay it is. But I'm just looking for anything else right now. Thanks.

MacResQ has them from time to time (http://www.macresq.com). Search 'cube' from their homepage.

Also Voelker Research had some used cubes for sale recently in their 'consignment' store (http://www.voelker.com).

CubeOwner.com is a good source of info and is updated pretty regularly. Also, you can keep an eye on Dealmac.com.

I bought my cube from an ad on www.craigslist.org. If you live in a city that has a craigslist, this might help you.

Another option is to use eBay, but only bid on cubes being offered by local sellers, and only if they agree to let you pick it up and pay for it in person (ask them before you bid). That's how I bought my Pismo Powerbook recently (of course, I live in the SF Bay Area where there are tons of Mac users and used Macs for sale... YMMV).

Good luck.

Sometimes you can get lucky and buy one from someplace that sells used Macs like PowerMax (http://www.powermax.com) or SmallDog (http://www.smalldog.com).

That was Kemplar.com (http://www.kemplar.com/). Pretty pricey, though. I bought mine on eBay two years ago. It worked out just fine, but I guess I was lucky.

The kemplar cubes aren't pricey if you intend to make those upgrades. A Gforce3 for mac goes for over $400 on ebay now. Anyway, I think Kemplar is sold out of their cubes. The San Francisco craigslist is the ultimate source for slightly cheaper cubes. Also, try http://www.macofalltrades.com/ they have a cube from time to time and only want ~$800 for them usually. But that's a stock unit. Most other retail places charge closer to $1000.

Check out this link, some good resources..
http://www.cubeowner.com/

ALSO - I know there's another website somewhere, where it's like all hotrodded Cubes, latest grafx cards, new processors, etc, for SALE! I can't remember the URL - if I find it I'll post it here...
