I drove back home tonight to bring my sister's belongings from the apartment cause she recently got accepted into a fine arts school (was attending UF at the time). Anyways, I walk inside and everyone's asleep. I noticed a black box on the ground and I take a closer look...
A Macbook Pro box! I open it up and there lies the sexy aluminum beast.
I'm currently typing the post on my sister's MBP that her school gave her. Now she has a MBP and a blackbook. I'm so jealous :(
The MBP is amazing. The LCD brightness is MUCH more brighter than the Macbook's but when set on the highest brightness, it drowns out the backlit keyboard. The aluminum finish is feels sturdy and well built. Anyways, she got the lowest 2.2Ghz model.
I know there are many threads like this but I'm just so excited to actually experience a MBP firsthand.

Mhm. Probably got a dreadfully awful screen, once you look at it right.

I don't know where you're from, but opening up another person's mac (out of the box, none-the-less!) is grounds for a good ass whoopin'. I hope she at least got to un-box it herself before you smudged up the screen and installed limewire on it. ;)
I'm j/k of course... but seriously, don't touch my MBP.

I would go out of my mind with rage if I found out someone else unboxed a Mac I recently purchased, at least, I think I would...

Mac unboxing is a spiritual act between owner and Mac. The special bond should not be broken. No-one yet knows the full extent of the connection that exists between the two.
But i reckon it's 802.11

Wow; you just go round opening up other peoples stuff?
If I did that to my sister she would ask me to go outside and then proceed to run me over multiple times with her car.

My sister would and has let me open her mac box because she knows the buzz I get from opening Apple products. As does my girlfriend lol.
We are a strange breed.

One of my friends has a 1st gen MBP and he gets jealous how bright my screen can go - but to be honest, I never use it at full brightness, it is always dimmed down to the same level as his.
The brightness comes in handy if you are in a really really bright room, but then again when is there ever a really bright room...aside from sunlight beaming off the screen.

Anyone else find that quite worrying?

When my first MBP came in the mail, my father wanted to open it. He would have had to kill me before I let him even go near that box :p

When I just recently bought my new MacBook, my heart would skip a few beats if someone was about to touch it. Really

The joke is that they had a connection, meaning love or something similiar. But he said it was a wireless connection used in the macbook pro 802.11g/n. Understand?

Well it's funny if the person reading the joke actually understands anything about computers. ;)

I give up. It was a small joke that a few people found funny. You don't have to look into any more depth than that. If you had to have someone explain it to you, you obviously can't appreciate the humour.

It actually isn't her MBP to keep, she'll need to return it when she graduates. The MBP was already unboxed and she wasn't mad at all the next morning. She just asked if the MBP was better than the MB haha :D

What part? Him getting a chubby from apple products or that he still has a girlfriend after this?
