How's that for convoluted? I just got a GPS system (Magellan Meridian).

It ONLY comes with cables for a Com port on a Windoze machine and software that works only in Windoze.

SO, I got Virtual PC, loaded it on my Dual 867 G4 and it works great. The software is perfect and everything works fine EXCEPT I cannot get the emulated PC to recognize the GPS through the COM port/USB.

What am I doing wrong? Windows install disk and the software disks cannot find drivers for the various USB to Serial cables adapters that I'm using (I also got a USB hot swappable SD Card reader because the Magellan expands memory with SD cards and the reader was a PERFECT solution. Or would have been if the Windoze under Virtual PC could read it.

Thoughts? (Please don't say "get a map you turd and throw out the GPS until manufacturers make them compatible with Mac (although that would be my comment))

Thanks.
