One of my favorite features of the iPod is the fact that you can hook it up to the TV with a simpe RCA cable, but they took that function out of the iPhone. Do you think the new iPods will have that function or do you think apple is too worried about it canablising sales of the :apple:TV?

They didn't take that feature out; they didn't add it.
There's quite a bit of difference between streaming from to AppleTV and hooking up an iPod. I wouldn't even be surprised if they added a menu that displays on the TV bringing them even closer.
Why would they remove such an important of the device?
The iPhone is a phone first and an iPod second.

Yeah but still I don't think most people even know it is a feature, and technically the iPhone was supposed to be "The best iPod ever".

Interface wise? Otherwise Apple would stop making iPods right?
