what is a cheap hard drive with around 120gigs? i would use search function but im on someone elses 56k and it took foreve rto load this page. lol.

The lowest 120GB HD I see on Newegg is from Toshiba and its about $72 shipped. Link.

It will say 2.5" SATA

so anything that says 2.5 sata will work?

I'm no expert in HDs but you should be careful...it's not every sata 2,5" HD that fits the Macbooks...some are just a little too thick to fit in (I've read). I guess the best would be to do some research before buying the cheapest HD that wouldn't fit.

Yes, the drive needs to be SATA, 2.5" and 9.5 mm tall. There are two or maybe three high capacity SATA laptop drives that are taller than 9.5mm Otherwise, all will work.

so does SATA 3.0gb/s work? or Serial ATA150?
