Basic Firefox Question

The text in my Firefox renders wierd (always has regardless of version). I've attached a pic of it but basically what it does is whenever there is rich text (link, bold, italics, etc...) it tends to overlap the text next to it.

How do I stop this from happening?

It's a weird font rendering issue that I noticed on my iMac, but not my G5
