'Date Modified' changes even if document doesn't

We installed a new server recently, upgrading from 10.3.9 to 10.4.10

Now whenever we open a document on the server the 'date modified' field changes even if we make no changes or discard changes closing the document. 😕 😕 Never happened under the old OS.

This makes it impossible to search by date modified anymore and may pose other problems if we ever have to check a document to determine if it really did change...😡

Any idea how we stop this problem?
