After sending several hours with the OmniPage Pro X settings , I have come to the conclusion that OmniPage Pro X is garbage. 😡
The OCR component of the software is a totally broken.
I have scanned several simple plain paper documents and the OCR turns the written text into unreadable gibberish. I have tweaked the settings and nothing seem to make it work.
To see whether or not it's the scanner or the software that was causing it, I installed OmniPage Pro 16 under Windows XP in Fusion and Parallels and the documents turns out perfect.
Macs may have a superior OS and design, but the third party software is less than desired.
