This is nothing out of the ordinary. Corporations have been creating Facebooks and MySpaces since they realized that people spend a lot of time on them. It works out to be very low cost advertising. I wouldn't be surprised if Vista had a MySpace of it's own...not that anyone cares:p

That Apple Students group gave out a lot of free music codes last year for iTunes. 'Twas pretty cool.
