Tiger Disk question (Cd C2D?)

I have a C2D macbook and am wondering if a CD macbook reinstall disk would work on the C2D macbook? I got my C2D used and it didnt come with software. Thanks for helping a mac Newbie.

Sorry if it has already been asked somewhere. I brefily searched.
