Excel mystery

I'm trying to copy from one workbook to another (rows, and/or entire sheets) and the date keeps changing when the action is completed. It moves up one day, and also up four years (3/20/01 becomes 3/21/05.) All other info copies & pastes okay.

UPDATE

Just unchecked the 1904 date system box in Preferences/Calculations, and all seems to be working correctly now.

I wonder if you ever found the answer. Well just in case anyone else finds this and doesn't understand what's going on...
