Not sure if it's Hardware or software related, but the Mac Mini seems to have a problem erasing external drives if more than 1 is connected by USB. The operation seems to hang, you have to force quit the disk utility, unplug the second USB drive and try again.
I am using 2 750GB WD MyBook USB only Ext hdds. (this also happens using any ext hdd)
Anyone else seen this?
