Hello, I am looking for an app that I can have run on someone's computer that will email me their IP address every time it changes. No, I'm not trying to hack someone :p I need it so I can always Remote Desktop into their computer to help them (family member). Does anyone know of anything like this?

Just have them do a Google of "What's my ip?" and then actually click the first link to see their ip. If they just look at the number on the google search page, it isn't theirs.

Once done, have them email it to you.

There are also free dynamic DNS services, like
http://www.dyndns.com/services/dns/dyndns/

Create a free account, think of a hostname, install a little Windows app on your family members PC, and the app will update the hostname everytime their IP address changes.

It's a Mac though... but can I do that same thing?
