It says filetype not supported for audio, video, etc. it used to let me use this stuff! wazz goin on????

What file types are you trying to import? Are you ripping a DVD and trying to import MP4s? Sometimes that doesn't work. You would have to convert the MP4s to MOVs. But that's only if you are having that problem. Let me know what file types and I can guide you through it.

I don't think FCE can import m4a files, but mov should work

Oh, sorry, right, go into itunes, import your audio as AIFF (easiest for FCE), or if it's already in iTunes, convert it to AIFF.
For your video, try something like iSquint (http://www.isquint.org/) and convert your video to another format. Normally video made for :apple:tv should work.
