I have a Canon i9900 printer that has a maximum paper length of 22". This number is hard-coded into the printer's driver, for some reason. Red River has announced a new 13" x 38" paper that I'd like to use for printing a few panoramas, but the printer isn't going to let this happen. So, is there a way to hack printer drivers in OS X, similar to using ResEdit in the old days? I suspect opening the driver package and searching for this 22" limit will be a real hassle.

Thanks for any opinions.

Don't know if this'll work...
I'd start by editing the PPD file and adding a new paper size. You'll find the PPD with a plain name in the folder /etc/cups/ppd/
