View Full Version : Hi all, noob with a question!

Hi all,

I have a problem, what I want to do is be able to take a screen shot of the cursor clicking a normal Mac OS button (not the kind where you can press enter instead of clicking with the cursor the normal type without the ring around it) ie I need a screen capture of the button in a down state. I have tried everything: (i think)

The normal screen capture key combination techniques.

Used apps that record on screen movements. (it just skipped the down stage and jumped to where the cursor was next on the screen)

I have even opened some of the system files in Res-Edit to find the Downstate graphic but to no avail but I managed to find lots of the up-state graphics.

Does anyone know of a way to get around this problem?
Or what resource I can open in Res-Edit to get the graphic?

Thanks in advance for your time, it would be a great help.

Sounds like a Classic MacOS like 8 or 9 - is this the case?

Yep, there is indeed a Snapz Pro for OS 9 and earlier (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzpro/).

Yeah, with Snapz Pro you get an option of showing the cursor in a screenshot... the demo should last you long enough to take a few.
