Panther Server build 7B33 was released to developers.

Apple remains vague in the details of the improvements but simply states that "this release reflects extensive engineering efforts since the last seed".

Apple's website provides a Panther Server Sneak Preview (http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/pantherserver.html) which details the improvements that the Server version of Panther will provide.

Recent rumors have placed the release of (non-server) Panther in September (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2003/08/20030811152030.shtml). Hints have suggested that Panther Server will follow shortly.

Just let me get this new big cat wrapped around my Mac, and I'll be purring too!

Well, except thats also when I'll find out how many Apps are broken, how many suddenly need upgrades that aren't ready for 3 months, which aren't supported at all anymore, and which spectacular mission-critical bugs have slipped through beta - theres always some freaking negatives, thats what I found with 10.2!

Hmm, maybe I'll wait till 10.3.1 :(

Does anyone know if "fast user switching" also works from clients doing network logins to an OSX server box?
There is an option in OS X server to allow simultaneous logins, but how would it handle the same user being logged into 2 different machines at the same time?

If it could do it, that would be awsome!

No mention about my contribution to the server information?
Oh well, I'll survive up here.

I wonder if the betas will spread like wild fire as the Mac OS X one did.
