Has anyone tried these?

Shure Stereo Headset - Universal
Keep your hands free and your ears happy with this premium 3.5mm stereo headset from Shure. With a I2c-m in-ear headset, inline microphone and personal fit kit, this headset is perfect for your music enabled phone. (2.5mm adapter available separately.)

Can't seem to find anything detailed information on them OR find them anywhere except the AT&T store. I wonder about the quality and if they function the same way Apple's headset does as far as answering calls.

Here's one thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=326197&highlight=shure) about them. There may be a few more posts. You can search the iPhone threads for more info.

I haven't even used the iPod function on my phone. My dog chewed up the Apple headphones the second day I had them.

It's like reading directions...if you're a man, you're not going to do that. :D

I agree but I'm a female who reads/follows directions :D

I tried the Shure adapter, and I found that it worked as advertized, but I ended up with huge cable management issues. My headphones had like 4' of cable, and I only needed about 12-18".

Unless you can shorten your headphone cables, I woudln't work for me...

If your headphones block outside noise, I also found that talking on the phone was kind of strange - like you had your fingers in your ears...

I have seen them in the Apple stores and online...
