hey guys, i'm a new mac user.. i bought my macbook in the beginning of august and i love it. however, this weekend i noticed something weird. when i tried to load a cd into my combo drive, i had to push with a lot of force to get the cd into the drive. i took a closer look and it looks like the slot that accepts the cd is bent upwards in the middle. i realize that i should take it to the apple store and ask them what's going on, but i actually can't do that for about another month. i was just wondering if this problem has occurred to anyone else before.

I haven't had a problem with mine and I have had mine for 2 weeks! My black macbook cd/dvd drive seems fine to me.

I have the same problem with my macbook. it is only about ten months old. it looks like the only option is to take it to the apple store. I also have to wait about a month before I can do so.

My MacBook is 14 months old and just out of warranty. I have had numerous problems with it since I bought it. Now it is hard to get a disc to read and it makes weird noises and vibrates really bad when a cd is in. It also won't burn a new disc without giving an error message. It seems they may have a factory problem with the combo drive. I don't know.

Can you post a picture so we can see exactly what you are talking about?
