i would like to mod my phone and stuff but wondering if its possible to ftp into my iphone to transfer files back n forth and to basically filemanage whats on my phone?

Via Installer.app install BSD Subsystem and then SSH Server/Client. You can then sftp into the iPhone as the root user (default password is dottie). You might want to change that once you have enabled SSH w/ a public key ;)

on 1.1.4 installer does not let install BSD subsyem. is it question of waiting for another update or something?

You need to install Community Sources first, I think it is under Sources.

What is the FTP address for the phone? I have the NES emulator on there and roms, but I don't know how to get the roms onto the phone

Settings, Wifi, blue arrow to network, then you will see the IP address.
Also password for 1.1.3 and beyond is now alpine I believe

i have SSH and BSDsub installed on my phone, and i dled cyberduck, but cannot seem to log in to my phone using it. do i need to have the phone connected or something? im typing in my IP addy and the username and password but its not working
suggestions??

Does Cyberduck support SFTP? I thought it supported FTP only.

i just purchased my iphone (three weeks) and have already had it hacked and i also have the video wallpaper and customize on it, but i need to figure out how to do the ftp...it seems liek that would be the way to get files doen for sure. i.e. games , oics, videos...
