This caught my eye:
Users are also required to turn in their CDs, unless they've been destroyed or lost.
<devil's advocate> With the rampant stealing (or call it what you want) that's going on with P2P file sharing, why would anyone give up thier OSX disks? Why not just pronounce them "lost" and hold on to them, taking the rebate anyway? </devil's advocate>
phrase number 2:
which was modeled after another successfully executed class action against Apple
This is sad. These folks found another case that won against apple, and cloned it, tweaking it into their own. If you're going to make a mockery of the american legal system (which isn't hard, by the way) then at least have the common courtesy to make your own stuff up as you go along, instead of using someone else's playbook.

Does this suit include anyone here?

it in fact _could_ have included me, since my beige G3 falls into this category, but since I'm running OSX on it now, and save for weirdnesses along the way it's running fine, then I'm going to ignore the whole thing.

wow. and to think. these people are mac users. most of the time i'd like to think that 'we' wouldnt' spend time on frivolous crap like this. i mean seriously.
i bought a beige g3. in 1998. and osx.1 doesn't run good on it.
boo freakin hoo. it's an old computer.
people make me sick sometimes.

The fact of the matter is that Apple said OS X would work on the machines in certain ways and they effectively did not. The g3 owners had a right to be upset :o

big shock, i use a G3 on OS X. i never knew apple said that, but i accept that my machine is a slow piece of crap and don't expect money because it is. although i wouldn't mind accepting it:)
it says tray-loading iMacs, but what about slot loading imacs? mine is a 400Mhz DV.
this would help me very much since it could pay for a new computer in october! almost 10% of it! this would be very helpful!
thanks
