From the article it sounds like we need to get teachers back into the decsion making process. With price, durability, and ease of use the eMac wins hands down over the PC!

Thanks to OS X, more and more universities are taking another look at Macs. Virginia Tech is considering it for Computer Science and some of engineering. This from a program that, 3 years ago when I was entering my senior year, was totally in bed with Microsoft and it looked like _any_ Unix was soon going to fall out of the curriculum completely.
If the trend continues, colleges are going to want their students to know Macs.

heh I am trying to get my school to buy some emacs to replace the majority of the library's g3 imacs :)

in my old middle school (now going into freshman year) all of the computers were macs except for the ones in the library that were used for nothing but basic browsing for info and printing.
there were 2 G3 iMac labs, one with bondi blues and one with graphite, and one with B&W towers and eMacs.
in my elementary schols, thre were all macs everywhere. i felt at home:)
i always outsmarted the computer teachers:p
