Rosie apple multitouch, "surface" from apple?

According to gizmodo, apple show a multitouch screen much like the "surface" from Microsoft.

According to the article is very buggy and slow.. what's the point apple doing something like this? Just to catch M$ in this type of industry?!

Wait a minute... where did this come from??? It seems very sudden.

I don't think its an official Apple project. Seems they are just using Macs and using a custom written UI on top of OSX.

Anyone have more details??

Well the title in the link says "...Rosie Apple-Powered..." that suggests it's not an official Apple product.

The interface is just fugly!!!

I saw this a little while back. Look at photos and you'll know for sure it isn't an Apple Product. The UI is terrible.
