Description:: Once he started reading his e-mail from angry customers who paid full price for an iPhone, it didn't take Steve Jobs long to realize that his initial Econ 101 response to critics of the precipitous price cut -- “Well, that’s what happens in technology” -- was a PR disaster for Apple.

Just like everything else on the boards, the people with complaints yell the loudest. I'm sure there were plenty of other folks, that understood the fact, "That's technology."

I saw a survey today that showed 70% of the respondents believe there should not have been a price reduction. Jobs screwed the company and the stockholders. Of all people he should have known that the price of technology is always coming down. Every time we watch one of his presentations there are products that offer more features for less money, so what's the big deal with an iPhone price cut?

Apple has officially lost the "opinion leader" over at scifi.com, an influential as hell site for all the geeks with bank!
Thos blog pans the iPhone completely. This guy tests phones for a living and owns a... (sounds like 4GB model)!

I was thinking of grabbing up a 4GB model at this bargain $299 price and using it like an iTouch. Better battery life and the wow factor. Gotta love the wow! :apple:
