It is interesting to note that the pin configuration of this quad-core chip is entirely different than the dual core counterparts.

Must have been an old roadmap then. I hope they release pin-compatible versions for current Socket P C2D owners. Somehow, I doubt it.

Somehow, I doubt it.From what I can tell Quad Core Mobile Penryn processors are tied to the Montevina platform. The different bus speed and pin-out lead me to say it won't work on Santa Rosa's Socket P.
