preferences always crashes!

my new iMac 2.0gz aluminum..the system preferences just always crashes? what can i do to stop this?

Try removing the plist file

/Users/<you>/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.systempreferences.plist

did it..

it still crashes

Does it crash as soon as you open it, or is it after you click on one of the panes?

it opens then i click for an example: desktop..then it crashes

Okay, is it just Desktop or is it any of the panes?

could it be the itunes album artwork glitch? Did you set that screensaver? and mess with the settings?

Correct me if that has been fixed.

yes..thats what i did! lol
