Airport utility unable to find airport base station

I am pulling my hair out over this.

I had everything setup and working. Today I can't connect to the Internet. laptop can't find the basestation. Base station has green light on and I checked everything was plugged in tight. Distance and position of laptop to base station has not changed.

Am I missing something? I want to format the hard drive and re-install everything again. This is killing me.

Any suggestions? Is this a common problem?

I rebooted the base station and rescanned. It picked it up and the diagnostic software got me through.

I went through this earlier but it didn't work them.

Anyway.
