does anybody know if the apple bluetooth keyboard works with the iphone?

no, it does not. apple could change that with a software update, but it probably won't.

thanks for the quick answer, I hope they fix it in the future so I can type notes for my classes with the ease of the keyboard.

That, to me, seems more of a hassle to carry a BT keyboard with the iPhone. To everyone their own preference, but I'd rather just carry my MBP around.
