Urgent Help!Volume Problem!

There is a red light coming from my headphone jack and I can't control the volume on my computer. I tried restarting and shutting off and even taking out the battery. Heres a picture:

Any help?

Huh? I have no idea what you mean.

Do you mean it's on at a specific volume and you can't change it, or do you mean you aren't hearing anything at all?

I can't hear nothing and i can't turn on or off the volume or control it at all. The red light meas something about digital but I don't know much about it.

Maybe others could, but I can't help you unless you get a lot more descriptive. What hardware do you have, what OS are you running, where exactly is this red light you're talking about, is it blinking, etc etc.

We can't help you unless we know the situation, and we can't know the situation unless you describe all the pertinent details.
