keyboard shuts off??

hey all

when i dont use my keyboard for several minutes then go to type, it will not enter the first key i type, as if it is reconnecting with the system. is there some way to prevent this or is it a problem that apple needs to address?

Mine has been doing this for months, I suspect it is my Logiitech wireless mouse. When it is not connected I don't seem to notice the problem

This has been widely noted, and I believe that it's a feature or bug of OS X. Try this and see if your keyboard responds better:

Go to :apple:

System Preferences

Keyboard&Mouse

Choose the "keyboard" tab (it should be the first one)

Now, slide the "key repeate rate" bar and choose a faster setting. You might also want to try adjusting the "Delay Until Repeat" bar. See if this changes anything.
